Replacements now available for the P38 type key.
It’s
now possible for us to supply replacement remote controls for Range Rover P38
by mail order. This eliminates
the need for customers to visit us in person, or to post us their existing
remote control. We
will
also supply a blank key blade, for cutting by your local key cutter.
In order for us to supply a
replacement remote control for your P38 Range Rover, we need to collect data
from an existing, working, remote control.
This can be done as follows:
Phone
us up, and give us some details of your vehicle. You’ll need your V5
Registration document on hand, so that we can validate your ownership of the
car. Make payment by credit card, and we’ll post you a Radio Data Recorder.
This is a small black box, the size of a cigarette packet.
Once
you’ve received the Radio Data Recorder, turn it on, and operate your existing
remote control near to it two or three times. A green light on the Recorder
will tell you that it’s been able to capture enough data. Instructions are
supplied, and the whole process shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes.
Send the box back to us in the envelope provided and we will prepare your new
fob.
If
your key is 'dead' then we may still be able to clone from a non working
key. We would need to see your key
NOTE:-The key must have operated the
system previously. We may need to cut open the fob case to obtain data. In
some cases the data obtained may be corrupt and therefore the 'new' fob also
will not work. We may, at our discretion, accept back for refund such fobs (
less post & 10% Handling etc). If the key has been cut to pattern then this
is not returnable
This
fob will will replace the original
Lucas 1 button fob used on the Landrover/Discovery (and early
Metro & Mini).
Available on 418 or 433 mhz
and the standard Lucas programming instructions are supplied
We will need to know the frequency of your system. This is on the white
label on the 17VT Security ECU or, if you have a
fob, look on the fob circuit board for a small round silver 'watch battery' type
component and tell us what number is written on it...
*The system needs to be disarmed before a new fob can be
programmed. If
the system is 'armed' then the programming procedure will not
work. In this case we will need to see the Lucas 17VT security ECU from
under the dashboard Click here
There is no extra charge for programming but return postage must be
included
Price
MT1 = £49.75
ea including Postage (UK)
